Description
The Allegheny Serviceberry, Amelanchier laevis, appreciates full sun to part shade and medium soils, though it can tolerate clay. The tree can grow up to 30 feet tall, attracts flies and bees, and produces white blooms from April to May and good orange foliage in the fall.
FUN FACTS The showy red-purple berries are edible and attract nearly 20 species of birds.
